The 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Television's finest had it's own moment of appreciation by fellow actors at the Screen Actors Guild Awards which saw the red carpet dripping in sequins on the most breath-taking of gowns.
These are some of the trends that celebrities turned to for the awards show.

Sequins swept the SAGs red carpet and didn't leave a dull person behind! It was the trend of the night as seen on Halle Berry, Danielle Brooks and Connie Britton.

Shoulder Cuts!

From L-R: Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Kristen Bell, Ashley Graham and Jane Fonda
The change in climes doesn't mean you have to let go of a favorite trend especially one that involves bearing a single shoulder or two. The cut-out trend has been around for two seasons and is hanging on for longer, if the latest styling to the trend is to go by.

Shoulder cut-outs have given the cut-out trend a revival on the red carpet with Nicole Kidman showing off dainty shoulders in a ruched wide sleeve cotton top, Margot Robbie in a pleated maxi dress and Jane Fonda in form fitting lace at various events.

If bearing a lot of skin isn't your thing; you can opt for the smaller cut-outs like Kristen Bell and Ashley Graham.

Silver Lining

From L-R: Fergie, Zendaya, Catherine Zeta Jones, Kate Hudson and Taylor Hill
With the festive season around the corner; metallic colors are slowly trickling on to the red carpet, and what is currently heralding the color trend and excitement is silver.
Spotted on many a celebrity, silver is fast championing the competition when it comes to choice of metallic colors.

Catherine Zeta Jones was a vision to behold at the Best FIFA Football Awards in a high slit Zuhair Murad lace and velvet pleated gown and Taylor Hill in a Prabal Gurung long-sleeve knee-length metallic dress with a side cut-out at the CFDA Fashion Fund Awards.

Zendaya and Kate Hudson chose to break the monotony of full on silver with Zendaya pairing her metallic skirt with a top in burnt orange and Kate Hudson in a two-tone silver and dark blue gown at a philanthropic event.

The High Slit!

If there's a trend that never goes out of fashion; it is the high slit. And these celebrities know a thing or two about getting the best out of it.
Kate Hudson, Bethenny Frankel and Bella Hadid spotted high slit dresses to various events albeit in different forms. Whereas Bethenny and Bella went full-sleeved, Kate Hudson opted for a strapless dress. Joining the full-sleeved with high-slit gang is Kat Graham in a shimmery, colored striped dress with a low neckline.
Switching up the combination was Kim Kardashian who paired a cropped top and high-waist skirt with slit at a Balmain event.
If legs are your best feature, the high-slit is the best choice for showing them off with good effect.
